King’s Day in the Netherlands 2023

I just wanted to describe my findings about this fun but also fraught day. I woke up with a feeling of how the king and his family will be afraid of what awaits them on this day. I can imagine that they will sleep badly, because so much is expected of them. I could also be completely wrong. However.

Our King was born with the birthright to become King. This means that his birthright is fulfilled with a destiny. A destination that, in my opinion, he fulfills in a humane and dignified way. What does it mean to be born with a destination was my inner question. And I want to answer this question here, precisely on this day in Rotterdam, where so many ominous events can also be expected. Fortunately, it has been a very good day until this time of writing. Does this mean that we find it difficult to have a destiny in our own life or are we angry because we don’t know our destiny and therefore have a hard time experiencing a Birthright? To experience as a human being. The slogan came to mind: “YOUR wish is the CROWN of your destiny”. If you can really integrate this into yourself and as your daily expression of being human, you could and should certainly call yourself a happy person. A person with a destination, a person with Birthright.

It means that everyone has a crown within them, that you have a choice to perfect it. Whether you are a king or an activist. If we look outside and find that the king has more chances to wear his Crown, things go wrong. Then you create inequality yourself and you fight with yourself and the other. You don’t know equal value inside then. That is not pleasant. Yet I have the feeling that the people who assert their will so hard (and thus cause threat) are looking for equal value. Only you won’t find it by instilling fear in others and standing above it. Then there is inequality. Inequality is not a basis for being human as a whole. In that sense, actions are very justified, but if it comes from fighting and dominating other people, it doesn’t work to make you feel better. Simply this does not work to create a happier life. And many who have protested or campaigned in the past to the best of their knowledge but by feeling superior, will be able to confirm this. That is why conversation or reason is the most important way to find a way together that makes each ONE happier. Combat is never the basis of growth or development in an essentially free country. In a democracy we can learn from each other and encourage each other to come together and move forward together.

What does this have to do with the king? A king is someone who has and takes on his responsibilities while also being a human being. This means that he must learn how to do it and why. And this is the same for everyone. Learning your responsibilities. It may be more difficult that we generally have to find out for ourselves what we are responsible for and why. We should learn this from each other and with each other.

With that I think again, would the activists have a problem with the fact that he knows his destination and they don’t? (Assuming that taking action for the sake of taking action is not a fulfilling activity.) Would we be more jealous of knowing its destiny than the money and accountability that comes with it? In short, this King’s Day raises many questions. And throughout this story, the answers also begin to become clearer. I hope we gain insight into our own functioning so that we don’t have to oppress others, whether this be a king or an activist. Knowing who and what we are is crucial to building a future as a peaceful whole where we feel loved and equal to each other. Simply because we are HUMAN.
